The Journey so far

Dear Friend,

The whole purpose of this series is to help you define where you are going.

I started The Journey with a series of messages entitled Define your Destination by Vision.

Proverbs 29: 18 says Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law and in Habakkuk 2: 2-3 it says: Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
It is interesting that many people, whether in their early or later stages of life, still don’t know where they're going. Your journey must be defined by a vision. Why? Because God created you to be a unique human being with a sense of purpose; this is the very essence of your life.

Without a vision a person has no direction, and is literally on a journey to nowhere. A person can carry many dreams but still go nowhere because they have not defined where they are going or how they will get there. In fact, many people live by other people's definition for their lives. This is not what God wants for you.

Vision is the divine deposit deep inside you; it distinguishes you and makes you unique. Vision is the footprint, the impact that you will leave on this earth. It's the eye of your spirit through which you can see where you want to go. If you have no vision you cannot know true success. Similarly, some people have vision with no direction or practical thinking. There must be a balance.

Vision opens the door to the maximisation of life. If you want to maximise your life and really enjoy it, you've got to have a vision! Once your vision is discovered and pursued your life can never be the same.

What is your vision? Where do you want to be? What do you want to achieve in 2009? Do you have 1 year vision? Have you cast a vision for the next five years?

There is an original plan and design for your life. You can find it, it’s not elusive. As you pursue God and ask Him, He will show you that His will is in your passion.

The Holy Spirit will help you to define your journey and arrive with a testimony, fulfilling your days, so that like Paul you will be able to say 'I have finished the course'.

With the help of the Lord you will arrive at the destination He has earmarked for you. He will make you a champion, a winner, an overcomer in the journey of life.

In defining your destination by vision I’ve explained that there are 8 R’s a person must address. These 8 R’s show that it is not enough to just have a vision.

As you hear all of the messages it is my prayer that you will apply the principles and fruit will manifest in your life.

Until next month, when we’ll look at Fulfilling Your Purpose
